fullness of joy
Medium: Mixed media (acrylic, oil pastel) on paper
Dimensions: 6 X 6
This is one of the first art scraps I made while playing around with swirling oil pastel markings.
This tiny art is from my “art scraps” series, where I paint mini paintings on scraps of paper or canvas from around my studio. Canvas or paper may contain slight tears, creases, or splotches of paint due to their “scrap” nature, which you’ll be able to see in the listing photos.
Accompanying Poem:
FULLNESS OF JOY
it’s enough to know
we still live in a world with clouds
fluffy bright things
cuddling the sky
it’s enough
to remember the sigh
of a newborn, content
or even those angry cries—just happy
to hear the breath in its lungs
always aware
the ruler of our lives
inching closer and closer—
that’s enough, you say
no more poems
about death
but even the clouds dissipate
and rain on someone’s parade
Additional Details:
Oil pastel, sprayed with fixative, but will still smudge (will be shipped wrapped in glassine)
Comes with Certificate of Authenticity
Signed on front and back
This paper does not come framed
